Following in the footsteps of great naturalists and scientists such as Thomas Belt, the Jesuit priest Bernardo Ponsol, and Thomas Howell, we will venture to the places best suited for encounters with the most exuberant beauties of neotropical birds, and their colorful plumage.
In a journey through the forests and landscapes that represent the great variety of Nicaraguan ecosystems, we will talk about several groups of birds, including some exclusively neotropical groups. We will be interested in learning about ecological interactions, such as competition, parasitism, and symbiosis, just to name a few, and how all these contributed to adaptive patterns in different bird species.
